Welcome to Queen City Theatre Company!

now playing... p.s. your cat is dead!

QCTC open 10th season with P.S. Your Cat is Dead! by Pulitzer Prize winning author James Kirkwood!

The concept is very simple, or so we like to think: It's New Year's Eve in the West Village of New York City. You've been robbed twice, your girlfriend is leaving you, you've lost your job...and the only one left to talk to is the gay burglar trying to seduce you and you've got tied up in the kitchen... P.S. your cat is dead. The extremely successful play arrives to Charlotte in its regional premiere after worldwide acclaim with a new, innovative, hilarious and yes, revealing staging.

Opening Queen City Theatre Company’s 10th season, P.S. Your Cat is Dead presents an award winning cast starring Joe Rux, Iesha Nyree, Berry Newkirk and Dan Grogan. This is the summer comedy you can’t miss!

"A darkly hued comedy...Raunchily funny. Wonderful show-biz dialogue that crackles." - L.A. Free Press

Contains nudity - Recommended ages 18 and up. Student and senior discounts available

Queen City Theatre Company is excited to announce its 10th Season in Charlotte, NC! The theatre company founded in 2007 by Glenn T. Griffin and Kristian Wedolowski performs as a resident company at the Duke Energy Theatre @ Spirit Square with the mission of presenting theatre that celebrates the many different races, religions, gender identities and sexual orientations that exist in Charlotte, NC and the world. With its 10th season, QCTC continues to create theatre that explores the human experience and challenges audiences with innovative and groundbreaking staging of new works and theatre classics.

“While putting together our 10th season, I wanted it to be a tribute to our best works and the connection we established with our audiences” says Artistic Director Glenn T. Griffin. The concept of the season is to look back as we go forward, an exploration of different times in our human evolution. QCTC’s 10th season is bigger and better than ever, exploring new themes and genres, but always encouraging and celebrating diversity of thought, inclusion and acceptance. Each piece looks at who we were and who we are, and also where we are going as people and society. Have we changed for the better or do we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again? We will bring our audiences through a journey of laughter and emotions as we together, for 10 years in a row, keep enjoying the unique form of art that is live theatre. Come join us!
